Cong Phuong, Van Duc, Xuan Manh: From Nghe An Newspaper Cup to continental playground

(Baonghean.vn) - Contributing to the success of the U23 Vietnam players at the U23 Asian Cup are the children of Nghe An, the players who grew up from the Youth-Individual Football Tournament, Nghe An Newspaper Cup.

In light of the achievements and contributions of the young players who grew up from the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Tournament at the U23 Asian Finals taking place in China, the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper has decided to reward the players Phan Van Duc, Pham Xuan Manh, and Nguyen Cong Phuong.

According to this decision, Nghe An Newspaper will award a certificate of merit and a bonus of 10 million VND to each player.

Phan Van Duc is from Yen Thanh district and participated in the Youth and Children's Football Tournament of Nghe An Newspaper Cup in the 2005-2006 seasons in the Yen Thanh Children's team.

Nguyen Cong Phuong is from Do Luong district, participated in the 2005-2006 Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth-Children Football Tournament in the Do Luong Children's team. This season, Phuong was the best player of the tournament, contributing to Do Luong winning the championship.

Pham Xuan Manh participated in the 2007-2008 Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth-Children Football Tournament in the Yen Thanh Children's team.

After participating in the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Tournament, players Xuan Manh and Van Duc caught the eye of SLNA scouts and were called to the SLNA youth team while Cong Phuong was accepted into the HAGL academy in the first recruitment batch.
