Arrested the subject who snatched the student's phone

Recently, Que Phong District Police received public feedback about a number of incidents.snatchassets in communes

The victims targeted by the subject were passersby, mainly elementary and middle school students. When passersby were off guard and using their phones, the subject snatched them and quickly ran away.

Faced with the above situation, Que Phong District Police have established a special project to fight, not to let the situation become complicated and cause public panic. On March 10, 2022, the District Police Investigation Agency presided over and coordinated with Tri Le Border Guard Station to urgently arrest Sam Van Thiu (born in 1997, residing in Chau Tien Commune, Quy Chau District) for the act of robbery.

Initial investigation results determined that from January 2022 to present, Sam Van Thiu has committed 3 robberies in the communes of Tri Le, Muong Noc, and Dong Van. The stolen property was 3 phones from students participating in traffic. After the robbery, Sam Van Thiu sold the phones to get money to buy drugs for use.

Currently, the District Police Investigation Agency has decided to temporarily detain the subject and continue to investigate and expand the case.
