Arrested subject transporting 4,000 synthetic drug pills across the border
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Border Guard forces coordinated with Ky Son District Police to successfully break Project NA1222, arresting a subject illegally transporting drugs across the border.
Previously, at 4:00 p.m. on December 24, 2022, at National Border Marker 404 (1), in Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, about 300m from the Vietnam - Laos border on the Vietnamese side.

The Drug and Crime Prevention Department, Nam Can International Border Guard Station presided over and coordinated with Muong Ai Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard and Ky Son District Police to arrest Pia-xom-ma-ni-vong, born in 1996, residing in Din-dam village, Noong-het-tay village cluster, Noong-het district, Xieng Khouang province (Laos) while illegally transporting drugs; seized evidence included 16 blue potylen packages and 04 pink potylen packages (about 4,000 MTTH pills); 01 mobile phone.

Initially, Piasommanivong confessed that he transported the above amount of drugs from across the border to Vietnam to receive a payment of 200,000 Lao kip. When he arrived at the above location, he was discovered and arrested.
Currently, Nghe An Border Guard has expanded the investigation of the case and completed the case file for handling according to the provisions of law./.
