Illegal arrest and beating of man on suspicion of having an affair with his wife
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Procuracy of Ky Son district has just approved the Decision to prosecute the accused of the same level Investigation Police Agency against Gia Ba Tru (born 1997), residing in Pha Lech Phay village, Dooc May commune (Ky Son) for the crime of "Illegal arrest and detention" according to the provisions of Article 157 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation documents, because he suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship with Mr. Dao Van H, residing in Anh Son district, on February 7, Gia Ba Tru used his wife's phone, Ms. Ly YM, to text Mr. H to invite him to Muong Xen town to play in order to catch him red-handed. Because he mistakenly thought Ms. Ly YM was texting, Mr. Dao Van H agreed.
After Mr. H accepted, Gia Ba Tru and his wife, Ms. Ly YM, went to Muong Xen town to rent 2 rooms at Phanh Dan motel, 1 room for Ms. M, the other room for Tru to stay and keep watch.
At about 5:00 p.m. on February 8, Mr. Dao Van H took a bus to Muong Xen town and went to room 106 of Phanh Dan motel to meet Ms. M. Then, Gia Ba Tru in the next room ran over and used a rope to tie Mr. H up and took him to Pha Lech Phay village to beat him.
Although the local authorities tried to persuade him to release Mr. H, Tru did not agree. At around 8:00 p.m. on February 9, upon receiving the report, the Ky Son District Police arrived at the scene to free Mr. H. The case is currently under investigation.
