Ms. Trang reported that at noon on August 27, while returning from work through Lac Son commune, she was suddenly approached from behind by two young men on a motorbike without a license plate and snatched her handbag.
Considering the subjects' behavior was very reckless and dangerous, Do Luong District Police established Project 288C to fight. Through verification, the Project Board found that 2 subjects were from Yen Thanh, often traveling to Do Luong District at noon or early evening.
On September 2, 2019, the police discovered the two young men appearing in Hoa Son commune (Do Luong) so they followed them. These two young men were riding two motorbikes with their license plates removed. When they discovered their "prey", they accelerated, preparing to commit the crime.
However, the detectives quickly approached and controlled them in time. At the police station, Toan and Tuan confessed that because they were addicted to drugs and had no stable jobs, they robbed property together to have money to serve their entertainment needs.
The police then confiscated another motorbike, a handbag, and personal papers of the victim Tran Thi Quynh Trang. The subjects used up nearly 2 million VND to buy drugs.
The investigation is continuing.
