Arrested a group that forged 500 sets of vehicle documents, temporarily detained a series of luxury cars in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - During the initial investigation, it was clarified that Tran Huynh Duc, residing in Nam Dan town (Nghe An), sold about 500 sets of fake vehicle documents to customers upon request, at a price of 4 to 6 million VND/set.

During the investigation, the police arrested and prosecuted two subjects, including Le Thi Hien (born 1984), residing in Vinh city, and Nguyen Huu Chien (born 1983), residing in Nam Dan district.

Vinh City Police also learned that two other suspects in this ring, Nguyen Dinh Minh Lam (born in 1991), residing in Ha Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi, and Tran Huynh Duc (born in 1995), residing in Nam Dan Town, were arrested and prosecuted by Ha Dong District Police, Hanoi, for forging documents of an organization.
During the investigation, the police identified this as a car document counterfeiting ring led by Tran Huynh Duc (born 1995), residing in Nam Dan town.
To effectively serve the investigation, Vinh City Police transferred suspect Tran Huynh Duc from the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Dong District Police, Hanoi City to Vinh City Police for temporary detention.

At the police station, Tran Huynh Duc confessed that since around April 2020, he had used social media to order 50 fake seals of vehicle registration and inspection agencies, along with car registration forms, for VND30 million from an unidentified person. Duc then used a computer, printer, and laminator to make fake documents himself.
During the initial investigation, it was found that Duc had sold about 500 sets of fake vehicle documents to customers upon request. Duc sold a set of fake documents to members of the ring for between 4 and 6 million VND.

Vinh City Police seized 16,000 blank car documents; 12 car registration and inspection papers; and many machines and equipment used to produce fake documents.
Currently, Vinh City Police are temporarily detaining 5 luxury cars to serve investigation and verification.
