Provincial Border Guard inspects storm prevention work No. 3
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 18, a working delegation led by Colonel Tran Hai Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard, inspected storm prevention work No. 3 in coastal localities.
At the Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station, the delegation listened to the unit commander report on preparations and timely response plans for storm No. 3. The unit proactively secured houses, warehouses, and trees, and dispatched troops to communes to help people secure houses, anchor boats, and harvest crops before the storm made landfall.

Border Guard units have also deployed forces to inspect and control ships from going out to sea. Units ensure 100% of their personnel are on duty to carry out tasks when required.

Directly inspecting units and areas, Colonel Tran Hai Binh requested unit commanders not to be subjective, to closely coordinate with forces and localities to organize the evacuation of people in key areas when necessary; to establish mobile platoons, assign and dispatch troops to each key area to monitor and help people when necessary; to grasp the local situation, promptly report when situations arise to have a handling plan.

He also requested unit commanders to inspect and cut down trees at risk of falling within the unit's premises, proactively move boats to safe places, and ensure security and order in the area under their management.
