19-month-old boy died from drinking boiling water
(Baonghean.vn) - A 19-month-old boy in Con Cuong (Nghe An) died from severe burns after drinking boiling water from a bottle that his mother had just poured to make milk.
The heartbreaking incident occurred on the evening of May 19, 2019. The victim was 19-month-old Nguyen Van D., the son of a couple residing in Na Pha village, Yen Khe commune, Con Cuong district.
When the mother of child D poured boiling water into the bottle to wait for it to cool down to make milk for her child to drink before going to bed, the child D ran to get the bottle and hastily drank, resulting in severe burns to the mouth, tongue, esophagus and stomach.

After discovering the incident, the family rushed baby D to the Southwest Nghe An Regional General Hospital for treatment, but due to severe burns, after 2 hours of treatment, baby D died.
The above incident is a painful lesson for families with young children. Parents should pay attention and not let children come into contact with flammable objects, hot water, electricity, sharp objects, etc.
