Cua Dong General Hospital 'quickly' took nearly 6,000 Covid-19 test samples in Hong Son ward (Vinh city)
(Baonghean.vn) - Joining hands with Vinh city to trace F0, F1 in the community in Hong Son ward, on the morning of September 6, Cua Dong General Hospital organized to collect nearly 6,000 test samples in this area, under the direction of the Department of Health.
Given the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic at present, in order to ensure rapid and timely SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic testing, serving the work of disease prevention and control; especially in the work of taking samples for screening and tracing when there are cases of Covid-19 infection or suspected infection in the city.

Following the direction of Nghe An Department of Health, Cua Dong General Hospital urgently sent a team to collect samples for SARS-CoV-2 testing in the community, with 100 officers and employees; determined to carry out the assigned tasks.
To ensure accuracy and speed within just 2 hours, the hospital took samples and tested using the Realtime RT – PCR method for all residents in Hong Son ward, with nearly 6,000 samples and returned results on the same day; to promptly notify the city leaders, urgently trace, isolate, and suppress the epidemic.

All members of the Hospital's SARS-CoV-2 Testing Team have been trained in testing techniques, have practical experience in disease prevention and control, and have been vaccinated with 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, to ensure that testing is performed correctly, safely, and effectively.
Recently, in order to ensure the detection of Covid-19 patients, Cua Dong General Hospital has been permitted by the Ministry of Health to perform Covid-19 confirmation tests with simple procedures, safe processes, and reasonable costs.
The hospital has deployed both methods: rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen test and real-time RT-PCR molecular biological test. Of which, real-time RT-PCR test results are the officially recognized method in confirming Covid-19 patients accurately and with high technology.

Up to now, the SARS-CoV-2 testing team of Cua Dong General Hospital has performed nearly100,000Samples were taken and 108 confirmed positive cases were detected in wards and communes in Nghe An province.
