(Baonghean.vn) - On October 11, E Hospital conducted a survey and worked with Vinh General Hospital on a plan to provide professional support under the Satellite Hospital Project.
Attending the meeting were Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health; Comrade Dau Vinh Thinh - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee;Prof. Dr. People's Physician Le Ngoc Thanh - Director of E Hospital, President of Vietnam Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Association, along with heads and deputy heads of departments and offices.

At the meeting, Doctor CKII Nguyen Hong Truong - Director of Vinh General Hospital reported on the achievements of the hospital in recent times. As the first unit of Nghe An Health sector to implement the mechanism of full autonomy in regular expenditure starting from January 1, 2017, the hospital strives to invest in modern, synchronous medical facilities and equipment along with a team of doctors, nurses and medical staff who are regularly trained and have high professional and technical qualifications.

In particular, Vinh General Hospital has been at the forefront of breakthroughs in synchronous application of information technology, with modern, intelligent software; improving the efficiency of management, operation and medical examination and treatment activities of the hospital.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health assessed: “Vinh General Hospital is a typical example in the group of hospitals implementing the autonomous mechanism of group 2. In the past 3 years, Vinh General Hospital has developed remarkably in terms of human resources as well as technical expertise, especially breakthroughs in information technology. However, the hospital also has challenges: the number of outpatients is high, the infrastructure is still cramped ...”.
Proposal for transfer of cardiovascular intervention techniques from E Hospital
According to Decision No. 3127/QD BYT on approving the addition and adjustment of the list of hospitals participating in the satellite hospital project for the period 2018 - 2020, dated May 23, 2018, BYT, Vinh General Hospital became a satellite hospital of Hospital E for the period 2018 - 2020.
To meet the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment of the people, in fact, every day, Vinh General Hospital receives patients with cardiovascular diseases, accounting for 8 - 9% of the total number of patients at the hospital; The referral rate accounts for 15 - 20% (mainly patients with indications for coronary intervention and pacemaker placement).
Doctor CKII Nguyen Hong Truong hopes that E Hospital will support and facilitate the transfer of specialized cardiovascular intervention techniques at Vinh General Hospital. Accordingly, the two sides will coordinate to develop a specific roadmap, systematically implement investment in facilities, equipment, and training and development of human resources; to access technology transfer from E Hospital.

Because in reality, the demand for cardiovascular treatment and intervention of patients in the province is currently very large” - Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health, added.
After listening to opinions from representatives of the Department of Health and Vinh General Hospital, Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh - Director of Hospital E commented:The demand for cardiovascular patients to be treated at Vinh General Hospital is large. The issues that need attention are infrastructure, equipment, and training of cardiovascular specialists, with an immediate focus on anesthesiologists. During its time as a satellite hospital, E Hospital is ready to coordinate professional consultation, receive training for doctors and nurses, and support effective technology transfer, as well as receive patients transferred from Vinh General Hospital.

After receiving approval and direction from the representative of the E Hospital, Director of Vinh General Hospital Nguyen Hong Truong affirmed that he will immediately implement investment in facilities, thanks to the support of cardiovascular intervention equipment consulting from E Hospital experts and connecting departments of the two hospitals to implement online professional support programs; selecting competent doctors to send for training...; striving to complete the goal, expected to implement the plan to receive and transfer cardiovascular intervention techniques from E Hospital by the end of 2020./.
