Beaten with iron chains for refusing to drink when offered alcohol

Angry because they called Mr. Hoa over to drink but he did not come, the subjects used iron chains and beer bottles to chase and beat him.

On July 28, Dong Xoai Town Police, Binh Phuoc Province announced that they had detained Nguyen Van Binh (born 1990), residing in Tan Dong 1 Quarter, Tan Thien Ward (Dong Xoai), and Nguyen Huu Phuoc (born 1989), residing in Tan Binh Quarter, Tan Binh Ward (Dong Xoai) to verify the act of intentionally causing injury.

Accordingly, on the evening of July 25, Tran Trung Hai (born in 1985), residing in Phu Tan quarter, Tan Phu ward (Dong Xoai), was drinking with Binh and Phuoc at Nam Nho restaurant in Tan Binh quarter when he saw Vu Van Hoa (born in 1983), residing in Tan Binh quarter, and Quynh (unknown background) come to drink at another table.

Hai called Hoa to come over to the table to have a drink, but Hoa did not come over. Angry, Hai and Phuoc each grabbed a plastic chair, while Binh grabbed an 80cm long iron chain and rushed in to beat Hoa and Quynh.

Seeing that, the two victims ran away, but after running a short distance, Mr. Hoa was caught up by Binh, who used beer bottles and iron chains to attack and injure him, then returned to the shop.

Seeing her husband being beaten, Ms. Hoang Thi Ty Na (born in 1971, Hoa's wife) went to the restaurant to scold Hai, but Binh used an iron chain to continue hitting Ms. Na on the head, injuring her. Both Hoa and Na were taken to Binh Phuoc General Hospital for treatment.

The suspect Hai is on the run and is being sought by the police.
