Chau Phong Commune Youth Union Secretary (Quy Chau) won first prize in the Provincial Competition for Good Reporters and Propagandists
The Organizing Committee of the 2024 Provincial Competition for Excellent Reporters and Propagandists awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 2 Third Prizes and 6 Consolation Prizes.
Among them, Lu Thanh Duc (born 1990) - Secretary of the Youth Union of Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district, excellently won the first prize.
The 5th Provincial Competition for Excellent Reporters and Propagandists in 2024 was held with the participation of 25 candidates from 24 district, city, town and affiliated units.
The contest has the theme "Forever the revolutionary path of youth" associated with promoting studying and following the ideology, moral example and style of Ho Chi Minh.
With the innovative form, increasing the initiative of candidates, taking candidates as the subject, both promoting interaction on social networks and direct scoring, from which the Jury will have an accurate basis to select the best candidates.
Having completed the qualifying round, "Knowledgeable Reporter" and "Talented Reporter" rounds, the 10 best contestants competed in the Final round.
Candidates both report on the topic and participate in handling situations through watching short skits on stage about content from real-life issues related to youth or of interest to union members and young people through grasping public opinion and surveys among union members and young people.
From here, the Organizing Committee selected the top 4 best contestants to enter the situation handling round. The situations were built and selected from real-life issues related to youth or of interest to union members and youth through understanding public opinion and surveys among union members and youth. The top 4 scores are the total scores of rounds 1, 2 and the first part of round 3.
Evaluating this year's contest, the Organizing Committee acknowledged the contestants' careful selection and preparation of presentation topics with attractive content.
The topics were linked by the team of reporters to local realities, closely following the core contents of the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement closely linked with political tasks under the direction of Party committees at all levels. The candidates focused on 4 groups of topics: Youth promoting the study of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; Protecting the Party's ideological foundation; Youth with the task of reviving national culture; Building a model youth in the new era.
In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded one first prize, one second prize, two third prizes and six consolation prizes.
The 5th Provincial Competition for Excellent Reporters and Propagandists in 2024 marks the 10-year journey of implementing, researching, and improving the quality of reporters and propagandists of all levels of the Provincial Youth Union.
The contest is an opportunity for the team of reporters, propagandists, and members of the Youth Theory Club of the Youth Union to hone their skills, improve their professional qualifications, and contribute to improving the effectiveness of oral propaganda work. At the same time, this is also a practical condition for the Provincial Youth Union to assess and recognize the current situation, shortcomings, and limitations in the propaganda and education work of the Youth Union in relation to the new context of the economic, political, cultural, and social life of the province and the country.
After 5 times of organization (the contest is held once every two years), Nghe An province has had more than 450 cadres, union members, youth, and reporters at all levels of the Union participating in the contest. Many prize-winning contestants have participated and won high prizes at the National Reporter Contests. From here, Nghe An has been evaluated by the Central Youth Union as an outstanding unit nationwide in the work of deploying and training reporters at all levels of the Union.
