Provincial Party Secretary: Any locality that allows complaints to drag on shows the weakness of the government
(Baonghean.vn) - At the October citizen reception session, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh noted that cases related to the legitimate rights of the people must be resolved thoroughly, to avoid causing resentment and disunity among the people.
On October 4, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee,Provincial Party Secretarychaired the October 2019 citizen reception session. Also attending were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, and related districts, cities, and towns.

Citizens continue to petition cases related to the land sector; disputes at the Ngoi Cua Cooperative (Tan Ky district); the granting of land use rights in Phan Boi Chau block (Nam Dan town, Nam Dan district).
Citizens of Bai Son commune, Do Luong district petitioned about the relocation and resettlement of households living around Song Lam Cement Factory; people's questions related to the project to build a green park in Dien Chau town.
In addition, citizens of Dien Chau district also reflected on some issues related to land sales and handling of land-related issues in Dien Yen commune; citizens of Vo Liet commune (Thanh Chuong district) on resolving policies for war invalids.
Regarding the opinions and recommendations of the people, the Provincial Party Secretary listened carefully, then requested the leaders of the local government and relevant departments and branches to respond directly to the people. In addition, he reviewed and re-examined the handling directions, in the spirit of ensuring the rights and interests of the people in accordance with the law.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that in practice, there are cases where local authorities have not resolved them properly or citizens have made inaccurate accusations. Therefore, through the meetings with citizens, the province will direct and guide localities to review and make more reasonable adjustments in accordance with legal regulations.
For example, in the case of people complaining and denouncing about the construction of a green park and land acquisition and site clearance in Dien Chau town, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Dien Chau district to review the case, organize a dialogue with the people to resolve it in the near future and report to the provincial leaders.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that no matter where officials are, they all work to serve the people, and all cases related to the legitimate rights of the people must be resolved thoroughly, without causing resentment or disunity among the people. If any locality allows complaints to drag on for a long time, causing people to be resentful, it shows a certain weakness of the government.
