Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary requests localities to sign a commitment to the progress of site clearance for the North-South Expressway project.
(Baonghean.vn) - Checking the progress of site clearance work at the site, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh asked the leaders of Dien Chau and Hung Nguyen districts to sign a commitment to complete the site clearance work according to the set schedule.
On the afternoon of November 10, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation inspected the actual implementation of site clearance for the North-South Expressway project passing through Dien Chau and Hung Nguyen districts. Accompanying him were representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors and Dien Chau and Hung Nguyen districts.
The North-South Expressway project through Nghe An is over 87 km long, passing through Hoang Mai, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc and Hung Nguyen towns. Of which, the section through Dien Chau district is over 26 km long, the section through Hung Nguyen district is over 25 km long.

According to the report of the Steering Committee for Highway Site Clearance, up to now, the project has completed the handover of site clearance piles to 38/38 communes, reaching 100%.
Up to this point, Project Management Board 6 has allocated 660 billion VND, currently disbursed 38.28 billion VND; the work of extracting and measuring, completed measuring the field of 87.84/87.84 km, reaching 100% (38/38 communes); approved 45.48/87.84 km, reaching 51.7% (23/38 communes).
According to reports from districts and towns, it is estimated that about 608 households will have to be relocated (35 locations). Accordingly, Hoang Mai town has 151 households; Quynh Luu district has 44 households; Yen Thanh district has 33 households; Dien Chau district has 153 households; Nghi Loc district has 50 households; Hung Nguyen district has 177 households to be relocated.

Through actual inspection, the situation of site clearance work in Dien Chau and Hung Nguyen is still not drastic, leading to the progress of site clearance being slower than planned.
Specifically, the approval of the extraction and measurement work has not been completed; the investment procedures for resettlement construction have not been approved; specific land prices have not been established to apply compensation; the method of relocating technical infrastructure works has not been approved...

At the inspection, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh requested Dien Chau and Hung Nguyen districts to focus and be determined to complete the site clearance work well according to the plan set by the province.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested the leaders of Dien Chau and Hung Nguyen districts to sign a commitment to complete the site clearance work on schedule. Accordingly, for Dien Chau district, the commitment must be to complete the site clearance of agricultural land before December 20, 2019, and residential land before April 30, 2020. As for Hung Nguyen district, the site clearance of agricultural land must be completed before December 30, 2019.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested departments, branches and sectors to support localities in removing difficulties and obstacles; regularly monitor implementation progress and select capable and experienced contractors.
After completing the site clearance work, localities must focus on approving resettlement areas to soon stabilize people's lives./.
