The Provincial Military Command organizes 'Warm Tet in the Western Region of Nghe An' for the border commune
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year 2021, the Provincial Military Command coordinated with local and volunteer organizations to organize the program "Warm Tet in the Western Nghe An" with many meaningful activities in two border communes of Que Phong district.
On February 2 and 3, in two border communes of Que Phong district, the Provincial Military Command and accompanying units organized the program "Warm Tet in the Western region of Nghe An" in 2021. Participating in the program were Colonel Ngo Quoc Hai - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, representatives of the Political Department, Women's Union, Youth Union of the Command and accompanying units.

In Nam Giai commune, the Provincial Military Command presented 160 gifts including cooking oil, fish sauce, banh chung, jam, etc. to 160 households in Cha Lau and Mo villages; presented 500,000 VND to each poor household and policy families; presented 500 pairs of shoes, 150 warm clothes and 2 bicycles to two students with difficult circumstances who excelled in their studies. The Provincial Military Command also presented gifts to encourage 2 young men in Nam Giai commune who were preparing to join the army this time; presented 40 gifts to poor households and policy families in Thong Thu commune.
The total cost of the program is 120 million VND, donated by officers, employees, and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command and sponsored by accompanying units.

In particular, in the program "Warm Tet in the Western region of Nghe An", the Youth Union and Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command organized a contest to wrap banh chung to welcome the Spring of Tan Suu 2021. This is the first time that the people of Cha Lau village have been able to wrap traditional green banh chung with their own hands.

Colonel Ngo Quoc Hai - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command said: "With their responsibility and affection, the officers and soldiers of the Command have deducted their salaries to help people in remote areas and border areas who still have difficulties and hardships in life, especially during the annual Lunar New Year."
