New way at the Humanitarian Fair in Con Cuong
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 157th anniversary of the founding of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement; the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh - the first Honorary President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the "Humanitarian Month" in 2020, on May 24, the Nghe An Red Cross Society organized the "Humanitarian Fair" program in the border commune of Mon Son.

This humanitarian fair was held in Mon Son commune, a mountainous border commune of Con Cuong district, where people have little access to services for exchanging and exchanging goods.
The market organized a "zero-dong booth", distributing coupons and exchanging free goods for 250 people who lost income due to the Covid-19 epidemic in Mon Son commune, each coupon worth 200,000 VND.
The Organizing Committee also displayed 10 shelves for people to use coupons to buy goods according to their needs. In addition, many products made by the people were also brought to exchange at the fair. For many days, people were eagerly waiting and eagerly participating in the fair.

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross also handed over 1 charity house worth 50 million VND; presented a clean water project to the people of Lang Yen worth more than 34 million VND; presented 2 breeding cows to 2 poor households in Chau Khe and Mon Son communes worth 15 million VND each; 6 water filters to 6 schools in Con Cuong district and supported 3 bicycles for 3 students in difficult circumstances.

The total value of the gifts awarded is nearly 250 million VND, supported by the Central Association and mobilized by businesses and philanthropists./.
