Quarantine a man with high fever after coming from isolated area to Vinh city to visit his nephew

On the morning of June 3, Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Director of Vinh City Medical Center said that medical staff had taken Mr. Tran Dinh V. (56 years old, Yen Lap village, Nhan Hoa ward, My Hao town, Hung Yen) to the hospital for isolation and treatment, and at the same time took a sample for Covid-19 testing. Currently, this man still has a high fever of over 38 degrees.

According to epidemiological investigation, on the afternoon of June 2, Mr. V. took a bus from his hometown to visit his nephew in Cua Nam ward, Vinh city. After arriving in Vinh city, he had a high fever and took fever-reducing medicine but it did not go away. That same evening, he went to the health station to make a declaration.

Meanwhile, due to the emergence of many Covid-19 cases, My Hao town (Hung Yen province) implemented social distancing according to Directive 16 from May 10. On May 31, the town switched to social distancing according to Directive 15.

According to the regulations of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province, for cases returning from localities and areas implementing social distancing according to Directive 15, they will be quarantined at home or at their place of residence for 14 days from the date of leaving the social distancing area. They must make daily health declarations to local health officials. If there are signs of fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fatigue, chills, loss of taste, they must immediately go to a medical facility for timely management instructions according to regulations.
