In the early morning of November 27, police blocked off part of Nguyen Trai Street (Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) to inspect the SunFlower restaurant.
Controlling many security guards, the scouts entered the VIP rooms on the second floor and recorded dozens of people sitting and lying around singing karaoke, with alcohol and suspected drugs on the tables... The girls were mostly restaurant waitresses. When they saw the police, they ran away but were detained.

The police recorded many violations against the SunFlower restaurant and brought more than 70 men and women to the headquarters for inspection with signs of suspected drug use and disturbing public order. Being escorted to special vehicles, many young men shouted, incited the crowd to protest, and pushed the detectives.
At the same time, police raided a nearby hotel on Le Lai Street and caught a couple in the act of prostitution. The girl said she was a Sun Flower waitress, serving customers for 4 million VND per session.

According to the police, SunFlower restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, in the same location as big fashion shops on Nguyen Trai street. SunFlower is crowded, known for having one of the most beautiful young flight attendants in Saigon and has designed many VIP rooms for "flyers".
"The waitresses here make arrangements to sell sex with customers without going through the restaurant. They have to pay kickbacks to the manager to be arranged to sit with the big customers," said an investigator.
According to authorities, this inspection is part of a general inspection plan of sensitive business locations in the central area of District 1 Police.
