Traffic police arrested a drug dealer based on a tip-off from the public.

Accordingly, at about 11:30 a.m. on June 25, 2022, working group No. 7 of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police) received a report from people in Dien Thinh commune, Dien Chau district about a young man showing signs of drug possession.

The working group reported to the unit's leaders for their opinions and quickly arrived at the scene. At km427+700 of National Highway 1A in Duc Hau hamlet, Dien Thinh commune, the working group signaled to stop the motorbike with license plate 37 P1 - 818.68 for inspection. Seeing the police force, the young man driving the motorbike turned around and ran away but was quickly controlled by the working group.

Upon checking the subject, the police discovered a pack of cigarettes containing a white plastic bag containing 9 pink tablets (suspected to be synthetic drugs). The subject and his vehicle were quickly taken to the police station for questioning.

At the police station, the suspect declared his name to be Le Trong Cong (born in 1994, residing in Son Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district); the pink pills mentioned above were synthetic drugs that Cong bought for use.

The working group drew up a record of the crime and handed over the case to Dien Chau District Police for handling according to the law. The results of the examination showed that the number of tablets Le Trong Cong hid in his person was synthetic drugs (pink pills), with a total weight of 0.815 grams.
