Rescue 5 Nghe An sailors in distress at sea
(Baonghean.vn) - The Coast Guard ship brought 5 crew members of the Nghe An fishing boat with the registration number that was in distress to Cua Lo port safely, promptly providing emergency care to the injured crew members.

Previously, at 6:30 a.m. on January 9, upon receiving information from the Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Center 1 about a fishing boat from Nghe An in distress 45 nautical miles east of Cua Hoi, the Coast Guard Region 1 Command immediately dispatched the CSB 2005 ship, belonging to Squadron 102, which was on duty in the area 15 nautical miles east of Mui Roon (Quang Binh), to urgently embark on a search and rescue mission.
At 11:30 a.m. on January 9, the CSB 2005 ship approached the fishing boat NA 98986 TS. The fishing boat had 22 crew members, captained by Nguyen Van Tuyen, 37 years old, residing in Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu district. This is a trawler, which departed on December 30, 2021. At 5:00 a.m., while collecting the net at sea, the net rope hit five crew members, seriously injuring two of them, and two of them suffered broken arms and ribs.

The Coast Guard soldiers performed first aid on the victims, encouraged the crew members, and quickly transferred the injured crew members to the CSB 2005 ship to rush to shore for emergency treatment. The remaining crew members are following the fishing boat to shore.
