Some residents said the cause of the market fire was likely an electrical short circuit in the electronics stall area.

The fire started in the market area and quickly spread to a series of neighboring kiosks such as the electronics, clothing, food, dry goods... The entire Vinh temporary market was engulfed in flames. The traders stood there helplessly watching their property and goods burn.

Many people, out of pity, tried to collect whatever was still usable, despite the danger.

At nearly 12 noon on June 21, at the scene, there was still smoke smoldering in the stalls.

The merchants were stunned after the fire.

Most of the traders live far from the market, so when they heard the news of the fire, they ran to the scene but there was nothing left.
