Proactive and creative in oral propaganda work in Nghia Dan district

We had the opportunity to attend a meeting of the Binh Minh hamlet Party cell, Nghia Loc commune; Comrade Le Van Thanh - Secretary of the Nghia Loc commune Party Committee, who was the district-level reporter, attended and informed, discussed some outstanding current events and achievements in mobilizing people to join hands in building new rural areas and developing the economy and society.

Through the discussion, Comrade Cao Duc Chau - Secretary of the Binh Minh hamlet Party Cell shared: "For hamlets with diverse population, uneven education levels, limited press, audio-visual media, and the internet... then strengthening propaganda through conferences has brought positive information values. Especially, when there are comrades who are reporters and propagandists at the Party Committee directly exchanging and implementing, it is very effective. If only reading the text, many people do not understand or do not understand fully. When the Party members in the Party Cell fully and clearly receive the information, it will be propagated to all people, creating consensus to carry out the movements...".

In Nghia Dan town, the propaganda work of reporters is more flexible and innovative, as most people have the conditions to use newspapers, television, and the internet widely. Accordingly, in propaganda and mobilization work, it is necessary to be proactive, and it is possible to reduce the quantity of content and the number of oral propaganda sessions. In the town, the News Club is an oral propaganda model that attracts the attention of many cadres, executive committees of blocks, organizations, unions and retired cadres in the area. The activities of the News Club are maintained regularly once a quarter with rich and diverse content.

Realizing the importance oforal communication, especially in the current period, Party committees at all levels, agencies and units in Nghia Dan district have actively researched and innovated the content and methods of conducting oral propaganda work and reporter activities, bringing positive results... Many methods of oral propaganda have been deployed: Organizing direct and online conferences, through activities of Party cells, socio-political organizations, block and hamlet meetings; theatrical activities, competitions, cultural and artistic performances; thematic reporting conferences, competitions of good reporters and propagandists...

To improve the effectiveness of propaganda, Nghia Dan district regularly and seriously maintains the organization of monthly reporters' conferences; the grassroots level often combines oral propaganda with conferences, briefings, meetings of the Party Committee, and activities of associations and organizations. Every month, depending on the information needs and propaganda tasks, the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinates with the district's departments and branches to provide specialized content to inform at the district's reporters' conferences. The propaganda content is analyzed, explained, argued, demonstrated, and related to reality so that people can understand, grasp, agree, and contribute to implementation.

In particular, in recent years, with the goal of connecting with the needs of the grassroots and focusing on the grassroots, the Propaganda Department of Nghia Dan District Party Committee has advised and organized many conferences in commune clusters. Thereby, the team of secretaries, hamlet chiefs, and heads of the Front's working committees of the blocs and hamlets have been directly provided and updated with current information and new information related to protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against the distorted arguments of hostile forces, and the situation of prevention and control offight against Covid-19, adapt safely and flexibly to Covid-19; issues of land, health, education, new policies... From there, Party committees at all levels carry out propaganda work to the grassroots, so that the majority of people clearly understand the situation, creating consensus in socio-economic development in the area.

In the current information explosion, in addition to monthly information and propaganda orientation, the Propaganda Department of Nghia Dan District Party Committee has timely orientations with official, orthodox information on new, complex, and sensitive issues. Through that, it analyzes, comments, and clarifies the political and ideological significance of events and phenomena that are strongly affecting public opinion and the mood of the masses. At the same time, the work of compiling and providing materials for the reporting team is focused on. Before major political events and tasks, the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee proactively compiles documents, synthesizes materials to provide to Party committees at all levels and reporting teams to serve oral propaganda activities to ensure timeliness, consistency, and correct orientation.

The Propaganda Department of Nghia Dan District Party Committee also proactively advised on organizing an expanded district-level reporter conference, or organizing an online conference from the provincial bridge to the commune level to provide official information and ideological orientation for cadres and party members to clearly understand the nature of the cases. Comrade Nguyen Dinh Thai - Secretary of the Nghia Hong Commune Party Committee, one of the typical reporters of the district, said: "Reality requires reporters to have both a solid grasp of theory and practical knowledge, understanding of practice, and flexibility in processing information and handling specific situations. At the same time, the most important thing is that cadres and party members, especially reporters, must improve their ability to argue and express themselves to make people understand."

The team of reporters and propagandists has become the main force in oral propaganda work, acting as an active and effective "bridge" between the Party Committee, the government and the people in socio-economic development, security and defense. Propaganda activities in general and oral propaganda in particular have contributed positively to ideological work, protecting the Party's viewpoints and guidelines against wrong arguments and the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces. Thereby, contributing to creating motivation to successfully carry out the political tasks of the Congress. Party congresses at all levels have proposed".
