Restaurant owner fined 10 million for violating Covid-19 prevention regulations

On the afternoon of June 15, Mr. Mai Van Cong - Deputy Head of the Health Department, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghi Loc district said that Nghi Loc district has justpunishadministrative violations in the health sector against Mr. Nguyen Dinh T. residing in Nghi Hoa commune. Mr. T. did not comply with the decision to apply temporary measures to suspend the operation of a food service establishment that posed a risk of spreading the epidemic.

At the time of inspection, this business household was still maintaining sales activities for customers eating at the restaurant. Mr. T's behavior violated Point a, Clause 3, Article 12 of Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CP dated September 28, 2020 of the Government on penalties.administrative violationin the medical field.

Applying mitigating circumstances, the Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee fined Mr. T. VND 10 million. This administrative penalty decision has been sent to Mr. Nguyen Dinh T. for execution.

Previously, from June 8 to 15, the District People's Committee and the People's Committees of communes and towns in Nghi Loc organized 179 working groups to inspect, disseminate, remind and handle violations of Covid-19 prevention and control. Through inspection, the groups reminded 159 individuals and businesses for not strictly complying with epidemic prevention regulations. The communes of Nghi Thach, Nghi Trung, Nghi Thinh, Nghi Hoa fined 23 cases of not wearing masks in crowded places. The total amount of fines collected was 36 million VND.
