Chairman of the Provincial People's Council casts votes and inspects polling stations in Vinh city

At exactly 7:00 a.m., Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Son attended the opening ceremony of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term at constituency No. 6, Tan Tien block, Le Mao ward, Vinh city.

The opening ceremony was conducted solemnly with the participation of the prescribed components and a large number of voters in the constituency. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son, along with the oldest voter and the voter who had contributed to the revolution, were honored to be the first to vote. Then, voters began to vote in a serious, orderly but no less joyful atmosphere of a great festival, following the correct steps according to the instructions.

After fulfilling his civic duty, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Head of the Provincial Election Steering Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee directly inspected and directed the election work at 3 polling stations including: constituency No. 7 (Hung Binh ward), constituency No. 2 (Ha Huy Tap ward) and constituency No. 4 (Hung Phuc ward) of Vinh city.

At the checkpoints, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son highly appreciated the thoughtful and serious organization of the election. In particular, the polling stations have fully arranged hand sanitizers, masks and conducted body temperature measurements of voters, ensuring that 100% of voters wear masks, maintain social distancing and comply with requirements in preventing and combating the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also reminded the electoral units to continue to maintain election activities in accordance with regulations, democracy, ensuring the right to vote for voters. Focus on epidemic prevention, ensuring security before, during and after the election. The most important thing is to avoid losing ballots, missing ballots or having to re-vote.

Constituency No. 7 (Hung Binh Ward) includes 1,659 voters, from the Lien Co and Block 22 blocs.

Constituency No. 2 (Ha Huy Tap ward) consists of 2,262 voters, including grades 6, 7, 8 and the provincial Ethnic Boarding High School.

Constituency No. 4 (Hung Phuc Ward) includes 1,068 voters from Tan Phuc and Vinh Phuc blocks, Hung Phuc Ward.

The entire Vinh city has 206 polling stations with more than 255 thousand voters participating in exercising their right to vote.
