On the afternoon of April 3, the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control inspected the work of epidemic prevention and control and the implementation of Directives 15 and 16 of the Prime Minister in Anh Son and Do Luong districts. Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control led the delegation.

ENSURING ISOLATION WORK

In Anh Son district, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and the working delegation inspected the quarantine point at Thanh Son Company. Here, the district has received 3 batches of citizens returning from Laos since March 29, 2020 with 128 people.

In addition, Anh Son district has also prepared and is ready to receive 200 - 250 citizens to be quarantined at Anh Son 2 High School; and at the Medical Center, 22 cases have been quarantined, of which 16 cases have finished quarantine, 6 cases are in quarantine with normal health status.

Also in Anh Son, district leaders said that in communes and towns, 1,281 cases are being quarantined at home, and are currently in normal health, including 12 cases related to Bach Mai Hospital.

Do Luong district currently has 35 centralized quarantine areas in 33 communes, towns, 2 districts and 1 treatment facility. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation inspected the centralized quarantine area at Dang Son Primary School with 18 rooms fully equipped with facilities, equipment and adequate human resources.

This facility has the capacity to quarantine about 250 people and is currently quarantining 205 cases. In addition, 7 cases are being quarantined at the District General Hospital and 30 cases are being quarantined at home.

Localities also deployed solutions to implement Directives 15 and 16 of the Prime Minister, in which people basically strictly implemented the restriction of going out, and when going out, they complied with the regulations; agencies and units only arranged for people to do really necessary work at the headquarters, the rest implemented the plan of working online at home.

ENHANCE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE HEAD

At the quarantine points, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung and the working delegation directly learned and discussed the logistics for quarantined people, as well as the working and living conditions of officers, soldiers, and medical staff serving the quarantine; thereby sharing the difficulties and hardships and encouraging everyone to continue to perform their tasks well.

Next, working with leaders of districts, the head of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results of Covid-19 prevention and control work in the area, contributing to the province's results in recent times.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his impression of the people's affection and concern for those in quarantine and for the authorities and forces directly involved in serving the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the 4 localities that the delegation inspected during the day (Tuong Duong, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Do Luong).

In the districts, people have contributed funds, human resources, and materials to support the work of preventing and fighting the epidemic. "People's interest in the activities of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the area is very good," the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assessed.

Currently, the whole country is in the peak period of Covid-19 prevention and control. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that districts continue to seriously and drastically implement the directions of the Central Government, the Prime Minister, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

In addition, localities need to continue to enhance the role of the Steering Committees at the commune and district levels and the people in epidemic prevention and control; organize a thorough review of the areas of blocks, hamlets and villages; continue to organize quarantine work well, ensure security and safety for both people and those serving the quarantine work, and at the same time be ready for new situations; ensure policy mechanisms for related subjects according to regulations.

Regarding the implementation of Directives 15 and 16 of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested that authorities at all levels strictly follow the requirements and not allow violations to occur in the area with the spirit of promoting the responsibility of the heads of commune and district authorities.

In particular, implementing Directive 16, it is necessary to strengthen measures to mobilize and persuade people to limit going out of their homes, only going out when absolutely necessary, but must ensure compliance with regulations to ensure good implementation of social isolation within 15 days from 0:00 on April 1, 2020.

On the other hand, the locality also needs to do a good job of ensuring security, order and social safety, avoiding complicated incidents; along with that, continuing to carry out the task of socio-economic development; ensuring social security, especially for disadvantaged people, the poor, and the disadvantaged; reviewing the list of beneficiaries of the Government's support will be implemented in the coming time.

At the visited locations, the delegation presented gifts to encourage officers, soldiers, medical staff performing their duties and people being quarantined there.
