Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee: Cooperation with Japan is a key direction and top priority
(Baonghean.vn) - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy said that in the process of seeking new cooperation opportunities, cooperation with Japan is identified by Nghe An as a key direction and top priority.
On the morning of April 26, in Vinh City, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam to organize the Conference "Meeting Nghe An - Japan: Cooperation and Development".
Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee reviewed the results of cooperation between Nghe An and Japan, as well as provided information on the socio-economic situation of the province, especially emphasizing the determination to reform institutions, focusing on reforming administrative procedures to create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses.

The Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the good results achieved are the premise and motivation for the province to continue seeking new development cooperation opportunities, in which cooperation with Japan is identified as a key direction and top priority.
Because in reality, although the development cooperation between Nghe An province and Japan has achieved many good results in recent times, compared to the potential and advantages of both sides, it has not been exploited to its full potential.
"Through this conference, we hope to introduce to Japanese partners the potential and strengths of the province to promote cooperation opportunities and attract investment in the province," said the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

About Industry:Prioritize the development of clean industry, high-tech industry; telecommunications electronics, production of phone components, medical equipment, mechanical industry, production of auto components, auto assembly, light metals, textiles, construction materials, mineral exploitation and deep processing industry, beverage industry, biological industry, production of medicines, cosmetics, functional foods, development of medicinal materials and pharmaceutical industry.
About Agriculture:Nghe An prioritizes the development of high-tech agriculture associated with deep processing of advantageous agricultural products of the province; investment in developing the marine economy; agricultural and aquatic product processing; projects contributing to accelerating the restructuring of agricultural production associated with climate change response and new rural construction.

In the field of trade and tourism, Nghe An calls on investors to develop large-scale, branded commercial centers and supermarkets; synchronously and modernly develop financial, banking and insurance services; logistics services; high-class entertainment areas and eco-tourism that meet standards to serve high-class tourists.
Regarding health and education, the province calls for investment in building hospitals: oncology, geriatric, specialized and general private hospitals in districts with large populations; concentrated medical waste treatment plants; at the same time, investing in developing key universities, high-quality high schools, and international standard vocational training centers.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also proposed to increase the organization of festival activities, cultural and artistic exchanges, and music with strong national identity in Nghe An and Japan and invest in building training and competition facilities for some of the province's strong sports, focusing on attracting Japanese tourists.
