Focus on food safety in Nghe An International Tourism Food Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - That is one of the notes concluded by comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the Conference to seek opinions from sectors on organizing the upcoming Nghe An International Tourism Culinary Festival in Cua Lo town.
On the afternoon of June 5, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to listen to opinions on organizing the Nghe An International Tourism Cuisine Festival in the coming time.

At the conference, representatives of the Department of Tourism - the agency in charge of organizing the festival - gave a preliminary report on the preparation work.
Accordingly, the festival is expected to take place over 4 days, from August 2 to 5 at Binh Minh Square, Cua Lo Town. The scale of 60 booths is divided into different areas: Food court, local specialties area, area for neighboring provinces, area for international booths from Laos, Thailand, Japan and Korea...
After listening to the report from the standing agency of the Department of Tourism, all departments and branches gave their opinions to continue perfecting and unifying the contents before officially issuing.
Specifically, on the side of Cua Lo Town, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung - Vice Chairman of the Town People's Committee highly appreciated the purpose and significance of organizing the festival in promoting and attracting tourists to Nghe An in general and Cua Lo in particular.
However, Ms. Dung also pointed out some difficulties when organizing the festival such as: environmental sanitation, water supply and drainage, toilets, security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and electrical systems to ensure sideline activities.

Speaking at the meeting, a representative of the Department of Culture and Sports noted that the name needed to be more appropriate. The Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Foreign Affairs basically agreed and appreciated the significance of the event.
This is considered the largest international culinary event ever. However, both sectors have contributed comments on food safety inspections and the transportation of products from abroad when inviting countries to participate.

After listening to comments from relevant departments and branches, comrade Le Minh Thong concluded: Agree on the time to organize the Festival from August 2-5, 2018; Departments and branches need to give specific comments on the organization plan and need to supplement the content, assign the Department of Information and Communications on press conferences and propaganda work.
Along with that, focus on culinary activities and do not prolong the opening and closing activities; light and meaningful cultural activities associated with promoting Vi and Giam folk songs.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that the Electricity sector must provide adequate power supply to avoid power interruptions at the festival. In addition, he emphasized that the funding source for the festival's activities is mainly socialized.
Comrade Le Minh Thong assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to notify the participating units of the featured booth, it is not necessary for each district to have a separate booth; pay attention to environmental sanitation and water supply and drainage. The focal consulting unit is the Department of Tourism, which needs to receive comments to continue to complete the plan, and ask for opinions from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to soon issue an implementation plan.
