An Hau Pagoda releases 6 tons of fish into Lam River
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 23, An Hau Pagoda, Nghi Duc Commune (Vinh City) held a release ceremony, releasing more than 6 tons of various types of fish into Lam River.

Perform the ceremonyrelease, the pagoda mobilized many Buddhists to do volunteer work, serving the fish release. The source of fish for release was purchased from the breeding farm of Xuan Hoa commune (Nam Dan). The fish were packed into sacks and transported by car to the bank of Lam river at the foot of Quyet mountain (Vinh city) for release.
After the ceremony, more than 6 tons of fish of various kinds, such as silver carp, bighead carp, common carp, etc., were released.Lam Riverin the prayers of hundreds of Buddhists. To ensure that the released fish are alive and healthy, the fish release is carried out quickly and gently.

Releasing fish also contributes to regenerating aquatic resources, balancing the ecosystem, and protecting the environment. This is the first time An Hau Pagoda is also the first pagoda in Vinh City to organize a ceremony to release such a large number of fish./.
