Unable to contact the fishing boat Quynh Luu and 17 fishermen
(Baonghean.vn) - Up to this point, nearly 1,300 fishing boats of Quynh Luu fishermen have come ashore to avoid the low pressure, however, there is still one fishing boat of Quynh Long fishermen that cannot be contacted.

According to Mr. Vu Ngoc Chat - Chairman of the Quynh Long Commune Fisheries Association, after receiving an urgent telegram from the People's Committee of Quynh Luu District calling on boats to return to safe anchorage to avoid the low pressure that could strengthen into a storm, the locality coordinated with the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station to contact fishing boats at sea via walkie-talkie and Icom.
By the morning of July 17, 139 offshore fishing boats of local fishermen had safely arrived at Lach Quen port, Quynh Thuan commune. However, there is still one fishing boat with registration number NA 96588, captained by Mr. Tran Ngoc Bien in Dai Hai village, Quynh Long commune, along with 17 fishermen on board that cannot be contacted.
It is known that on the afternoon of July 16, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station contacted this fishing boat and asked the fishermen to quickly return to the anchorage to avoid the tropical depression. However, by early this afternoon (July 17), the authorities were still unable to contact the boat, and the audio-visual equipment had been turned off.
"In response to the above incident, we have visited the families of the crew members on this fishing boat to remind them that when there is a signal from the fishermen, they should quickly return to shore to ensure the safety of their lives and property," Mr. Chat added.
