Final round of the English Olympic Competition for students of Nghe An province in the 2021-2022 school year
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 29, in Vinh City, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Secretariat of the Nghe An Provincial Student Association successfully organized the Final Round of the English Olympic Competition for students of Nghe An province in the 2021-2022 school year in a combination of in-person and online formats at two locations, Tan Ky and Quy Hop.
The program is organized by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Student Association Secretariat in the form of an online multiple-choice test for the Qualifying Round, and a presentation contest for the Final Round. The contest is for students in high schools, vocational training centers, colleges and universities. The test is designed in a simplified IELTS format with general English content, basic knowledge about history, culture, society and people of Vietnam.

After 4 weeks of qualifying round from April 17 to May 15, 2022, the whole province had more than 100,000 students participating in the contest, ranking first in the country in the number of contestants participating in the contest on the Central Youth Union website. As a result, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Student Association Secretariat selected the 8 best contestants to compete in the final round.

In the final round, the contestants went through two rounds: Multiple choice and presentation on the topic. After a serious, objective and exciting competition, the Organizing Committee and the jury awarded 2 first prizes, 1 second prize, and 4 consolation prizes to the contestants. The Organizing Committee also selected two outstanding contestants to participate in the national final round taking place in June 2022.

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded collective prizes to units with many contestants participating in the contest, and weekly prizes to contestants with the best results.
