Quan's class 12T1 has just achieved an "unprecedented" achievement in this school in the mountainous district of Anh Son. The class has 40 students, all of whom scored above 23 points. Of these, 17 students scored 27.5 points or more, and 36 students scored above 25 points. Notably, in Math alone, this class has 30 students scoring 9 points or more.
In this exam, Duc Quan scored 27.6 points in block A. However, he was only ranked 10th in the list of students with the highest scores in the class. "After seeing the score, I was a bit disappointed. During the exam, I also made a few mistakes so my score was not as expected. But anyway, that score is acceptable," shared Duc Quan - one of the students with many achievements in excellent student competitions, and has been in the top of the class for many years.

Duc Quan's situation is quite special. His parents both work in the mountainous district of Ky Son, more than 150km from home. Since he was just 1 year old, Quan had to live with his grandparents. Living far from his parents, he has always been self-motivated in his studies since he was young. For many years, Quan has been an excellent student in the province. After finishing secondary school, he passed the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, but due to his family's circumstances, he had to choose this school. This year, Duc Quan registered for Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
In class 12T1, Duc Quan's group of close friends has 4 members, all of whom are top students in the class. In the recent exam, 2 of the group shared the first and second places in the class with 29.4 and 28.4 points respectively, the remaining male student also ranked 7th with 27.95 points.

The person with the highest score in the class and also one of Duc Quan's three close friends is Nguyen Duc Anh Quan. This male student achieved 29.4 points in the B group exam. Of which, Chemistry and Biology both achieved perfect scores, and Math achieved 9.4 points. With this score, Anh Quan is the person with the second highest B group exam score in Nghe An province, only 0.15 points less than the leader.
"I wasn't too surprised," Anh Quan shared about the moment he received his exam results. "After finishing the exam, I took out the answer sheet and graded myself at 29.6 points. But when I received the result, it was only 29.4. There was a question in Math that I probably filled in wrong or unclearly."
Regarding the secret to studying well, Anh Quan said that he doesn't have any special method, other than being self-disciplined and diligent. "In addition to learning all the knowledge in the textbooks, you have to explore more on your own, especially self-studying online. Find questions, and solve as many as possible," said the male student who has always been the top student in his class for 12 years.

Like the person with the highest score in the B block exam in the province, Anh Quan chose the General Medicine major at Hanoi Medical University, even though his family wanted him to pursue a different major. "When I was young, I got sick a few times and had to go to the hospital. Since then, I was impressed by a doctor, and I always liked this profession," Anh Quan said with a smile.
Talking about the "huge" exam scores of her homeroom class and her students, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung said that she was not too surprised. "Before that, we also organized many mock exams, and the students' scores were also very high. So when we received the results, we were not too surprised, everything was within expectations," Ms. Dung said.
Regarding the reason why the whole class achieved high test scores, the homeroom teacher of this class for 3 consecutive years said that all the students had many favorable factors, although the input quality from grade 10 was not too outstanding. "This is a class that selects the natural sciences of the school, but the input compared to other schools in the same area is not as high. But after 3 years, the students have made remarkable progress. If in grade 10, the whole class only had about 20 excellent students, then in grade 11, there were 30 students. By grade 12, all 40 students were excellent students," Ms. Dung added.

According to Ms. Dung, this exam result is partly due to the enthusiasm of the subject teachers. These teachers are all excellent teachers in the province, with extensive experience. They have accompanied the class since grade 10. In addition, there is the companionship of the parents. "But above all, it is the students' awareness of studying. Despite their different circumstances, all students have in common a good awareness of studying and being obedient," said Ms. Dung.
In particular, in the class there is the case of poor student Nguyen Van Dat. His mother passed away when Dat was about to enter grade 12, his father had an accident and lost a leg, his family situation was very difficult, but he did not neglect his studies. He always overcame difficulties and tried his best in his studies. At the end of the recent exam, Dat got 25.6 points in block A.
Mr. Nguyen Canh Tuan - Principal of Anh Son 1 High School said that in the recent exam, out of 423 students in the school, only 1 student failed. In addition to class 12T1 with "huge" achievements, there was also class 12D1 with 42 students taking the exam, of which 13 students scored 26 points or more, of which 13 students scored 9 points or more in Literature. This class also had 2 students with the highest Literature score of 9.5 points, nearly 100% of students scored 8 points or more in Literature. In addition, 100% of the class scored over 20 points for university admission, 17 students applying for university admission in group D scored over 25 points; 7 students had a score of over 24 points for group D excluding priority points.
"As for class 12T1, since I started teaching, I have never seen a class with such high and consistent test scores," Mr. Tuan shared.
