Funny stories in Bac Ly border area

(Baonghean) -Bac Ly is a particularly difficult commune of Ky Son district. With the help of officers and soldiers of My Ly Border Post, Bac Ly commune has organized many sustainable poverty reduction models.

In Bac Ly commune, the image of soldiers in uniform visiting each house to meet and encourage families to work hard to develop the economy, and to give gifts from contributions from officers and soldiers, has become very familiar. Many specific actions and models have impacted and created many changes for the people here. Mr. Xeo Pho Bun in Huoi Cang 1 village, Bac Ly commune, is one of the households that received piglets at the end of September from My Ly Border Guard Station. He shared: "The family will take good care of them to expand the pig herd to develop the economy."

Other households in Huoi Bac village such as Cut Pho Xanh, Lo Van Niem, Cut Van Son, and Ven Pho Chuong also received breeding pigs from the soldiers wearing green uniforms here. Head of Huoi Cang 1 village Cut Pho Ngoc said: "By the end of September 2017, My Ly Border Guard Station had given 10 households in Bac Ly commune 10 pairs of breeding pigs. The people are very grateful to the soldiers."

In addition, in the first 6 months of 2017, the station visited and gave 26 gifts worth 5.2 million VND to families with preferential policies on the occasion of holidays and Tet; sponsored 5 poor students who overcame difficulties to study well, 1 elderly person with special difficult circumstances and no place to rely on with the amount of 500,000 VND/month; and regularly supported a household with 7 disabled people in the area.

In addition, My Ly Border Guard Station also presented 14 goats, 2,500 fish fry, 100 gifts worth 115 million VND to policy families in Bac Ly commune; advised the Policy Bank and the Ethnic Affairs Department of Ky Son district to present 30 breeding cows worth over 300 million VND to poor households.

The soldiers also helped people repair 3 houses, 6 km of inter-village roads, build 1.5 km of new rural concrete roads, mobilize 12 students who dropped out of school to continue studying; helped 6 households to pilot passion fruit planting on an area of ​​3,000 m2, which initially developed well; built 3 household economic models in Bac Ly commune, which have temporarily stabilized their lives.

In early September 2017, together with the Party Committee, the commune government, officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Station mobilized and gathered young people to establish the Youth Union of Huoi Bac village, Bac Ly commune to gather the village's youth force, create a lifestyle to build solidarity, propagate legal policies to help them have correct awareness and act in accordance with the law and know how to do business, develop the economy, and avoid falling into social evils.

In the first 9 months of 2017, the station helped Bac Ly commune build and consolidate 3 party cells, 18 mass organizations, establish 1 youth union branch; advise on admitting 6 outstanding people into the Party. "The border guards here have made many contributions through practical actions to help the Party Committee and government fulfill their tasks; support people to gradually improve their understanding of the law and strive to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and stabilize their lives" - Secretary of Bac Ly commune Party Committee Va Ba Cai affirmed.
