Drug addict from Dien Chau to Quy Chau carrying thousands of drug pills back downstream

On April 3, information from Quy Chau District Police said that the unit had just dismantled a large drug ring, catching a subject red-handed illegally transporting drugs. Seized a large quantity of heroin and thousands of synthetic drug pills.

Around mid-March, Quy Chau District Police discovered a subject who frequently came and went and showed many suspicious signs of drug crimes.

Conducting verification, the police identified the subject as Cao Xuan Hieu (born in 1984), residing in Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau district. At the same time, it was determined that Hieu was hired by subjects in the drug trafficking ring from Que Phong to the South to sell the "goods" to avoid the eyes of the authorities.

After many days of monitoring the subject's every move, at around 12 noon on April 2, when Cao Xuan Hieu was transporting drugs by motorbike along National Highway 48D, the Quy Chau District Police deployed forces to approach, control and arrest the subject in the Ba Cong village area, Chau Hoan commune.

Searching Hieu's bag, the police discovered and seized evidence including: 2 heroin cakes and 3,600 synthetic drug pills.

At the police station, the subject admitted to being a long-time drug addict and unemployed, so he agreed to transport the drugs to have money to satisfy his addiction.

Currently, Quy Chau District Police are coordinating with relevant units to continue investigating and expanding.
