(Baonghean.vn) - On May 7, 2022, Yen Thanh District Police announced that the unit had just prosecuted Tran Van Dung (born in 1979), residing in Phuc Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, for the crime of "Theft of property". It is worth mentioning that Dung has 5 previous convictions for "Theft of property".
Previously, on April 28, 2022, Yen Thanh District Police received a complaint from a resident of My Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, about a thief breaking into the trunk of a motorbike, stealing 50 million VND in cash and a phone worth about 55 million VND in total.

Immediately after receiving the report, Yen Thanh District Police quickly proceeded to verify. At about 20:30 on April 29, 2022, after 1 day of receiving the report, Yen Thanh District Police presided over and coordinated with the police of the communes: Phuc Thanh, Tho Thanh, Tang Thanh and Yen Thanh town police to arrest the subject Tran Van Dung (born in 1979), residing in Phuc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district for the act of "Theft of property".

At the police station, Dung confessed to his crime. Through the investigation, Yen Thanh District Police clarified that by the time of his arrest, Dung had committed 4 thefts in Yen Thanh District, including car boot-picking and taking advantage of crowded events to pickpocket people. The seized items included VND80 million in cash, 1 motorbike, and 2 mobile phones./.
