(Baonghean.vn) - With the motto "4 on-site", Nghe An Electricity Company and Ky Son Electricity Company have made urgent efforts to deploy remedial measures to restore power to serve people as soon as possible.

Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and flash floods on the night of September 4, 2022 caused damage and affected the power grid system of the mountainous district of Ky Son, Nghe An province. Flash floods in many areas caused landslides on many roads, traffic was cut off, and power grid failures disrupted the power supply to thousands of customers.

According to initial statistics, the Ky Son Power Company's medium voltage grid had an incident at line 371A15.23; line 372A15.29. The low voltage grid had an incident at 4 distribution transformer stations in Pieng Po, Xieng Thu, Muong Xen town, and Na village. Many electric poles were tilted, broken, and wires were broken and swept away by water. More than 14,000 customers lost power. Estimated damage was up to billions of VND.

Immediately after the flood, the leaders of Nghe An Power Company directed Ky Son Power Company to quickly assess the situation, develop a repair plan, mobilize 100% of human and material resources to promptly go to the scene to handle the incident, replace damaged equipment on the power grid; and rebuild tilted and collapsed power poles to soon restore power to customers.

As of 5:00 p.m. on September 5, 2022, Ky Son Power Company has restored power to about 13,000 affected customers. More than 1,000 customers in Huu Kiem and Bao Nam communes and some other areas still have no power due to flash floods causing landslides, and traffic routes are cut off, making it difficult to access the area.

It is expected that on the evening of September 5, 2022, Ky Son Power Company will reach the incident site and restore power to 100% of customers.
