Anh Son voters are concerned about the Ban Mong reservoir project.
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters are concerned because the items in the Ban Mong reservoir project have not been implemented for many years.
On the morning of November 27, National Assembly deputies Le Quang Huy - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment; Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province had a meeting with voters in Binh Son commune, Anh Son district.
At the beginning of the meeting, Delegate Le Quang Huy informed voters of the basic contents of the recent meeting.
At the conference, voters of Binh Son commune said that implementing Decision 22 of the Government on housing support for meritorious people, the commune has 58 approved cases. However, since Decision 22 was issued in 2013, a number of houses in the commune have deteriorated and need to be renovated and repaired. Therefore, voters hope that the Government will pay attention to supporting the renovation and renovation of houses to ensure a stable life.

Regarding investment in rural infrastructure construction, Binh Son is one of the communes with the most difficult traffic routes in Anh Son district. Voters want to upgrade the road from Cay Khe intersection (Thanh Son commune), to Tan Ky through Binh Son commune; continue to allocate capital to complete the Binh Son - Tho Son road; the Song Con rescue road has been unfinished for many years, causing difficulties for people in traveling and transporting goods.

Voters of Anh Son district are also concerned aboutBan Mong Reservoir Project“Will the National Assembly have a resolution to continue implementing the project? Will the irrigation works downstream of Ban Mong reservoir be built? If so, when will the two electric pumping stations in Binh Son commune be built?”, voters of Binh Son commune asked.
In addition, at the meeting, voters also requested the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee to consider and increase monthly allowances for deputy union officials at the commune level and village officials because after the merger, the area is large and travel is difficult.
After listening to the opinions of voters, representatives of sectors, local leaders and National Assembly Deputies directly answered many questions. In particular, regarding the Ban Mong reservoir project, Delegate Le Quang Huy said that this project was implemented in 2009, but in 2011 it had to be temporarily suspended because the Government decided to cut public investment.

In 2017, after the project continued to be allocated capital to prepare for implementation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development requested Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces to review the total land use area. Especially forest land, because at this time the area of protective forest increased to 312.95 hectares. Therefore, the project generated important national criteria according to the provisions of the Law on Public Investment.
“This project had to be stopped to submit to the National Assembly because the purpose of the forest was too large, more than 1,000 hectares. In the recent session, the National Assembly approved it. And I am confident that in the coming time, the Government will have investment resources. And the pumping stations in Binh Son will also be deployed. I hope people can rest assured,” said delegate Le Quang Huy.
