Cua Lo encourages tourists to join cruises and listen to folk songs

On the afternoon of April 9, the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Tourism, the Nghe An Journalists Association and the People's Committee of Cua Lo town jointly held a press conference to promote tourism in Cua Lo, Nghe An in 2019.

Attending the press conference were representatives of 60 central and local press agencies; representatives of 25 travel companies in and outside the province.

At the press conference, the leaders of Cua Lo Town People's Committee informed the delegates about the tourism development orientations in 2019, accordingly: In 2019, Cua Lo tourism continues to implement the theme "Cua Lo - Convergence and Shine".

The town aims to welcome 3.15 million visitors, an increase of 12.6% compared to 2018; tourism service revenue reaches 3,449 billion VND, an increase of 21% compared to 2018; creating additional jobs for 400 - 500 workers.

To achieve this goal, Cua Lo has been completing and announcing functional zoning plans, Cua Hoi entertainment area, east of Binh Minh street, creating a premise to attract investment projects to the town.

Cua Lo will add 8 large hotels with 585 rooms to serve tourists (increasing the total number of accommodation facilities in the town to 304 with the capacity to serve 25,000 guests/day and night).

In particular, the town coordinated to promote the commencement of the Cua Hoi Amusement Park project and the cable car to Ngu Island; completed transportation projects to create convenience for tourists.

Cua Lo will coordinate with other units to organize the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2019 with a special opening program taking place on the evening of April 26, 2019; Cua Lo tourism propaganda press contest; International food fair; National beach volleyball tournament; Tourism trade fair and Street music festival.

Along with that, the town continues to strengthen connections with travel companies to form tours and routes from Cua Lo to tourist attractions. This year, Cua Lo will also focus on propaganda, promotion, and encouraging tourists to join the Ngu Island cruise, Lam River cruise, and listen to folk songs, etc. This is one of the new attractions of Cua Lo tourism in 2019.

At the press conference, the delegates actively contributed and exchanged ideas to help Cua Lo have a successful tourism year. The Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association also launched a press contest on the theme of Nghe An tourism - Cua Lo tourism in 2019.
