"We have basically collected samples from at-risk groups. And I confirm once again that Vinh City has only recorded one case so far. Many rumors on social media about many cases are incorrect," Dr. Dinh added.
The first Covid-19 patient in Vinh City was a 22-year-old woman from Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province. She rented a room in Ha Huy Tap Ward and worked as a hairdresser. On June 5, she had close contact with a man from the same hometown. This man later tested positive for Covid-19. On the morning of June 13, she proactively went to the medical station to declare herself as F1 to be quarantined and tested. However, her declaration was not truthful, while her travel schedule was very complicated.
Vinh City Police later initiated a case to investigate the act of spreading infectious diseases to people.
