Congress of Quynh Hung Commune Party Committee (Quynh Luu) for the 2020 - 2025 term

On June 11 and 12, the Party Committee of Quynh Hung commune (Quynh Luu district) held the 31st Congress of Delegates for the 2020-2025 term.

Attending and directing were comrades: Le Xuan Kien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Ho Ngoc Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; Nguyen Van Quy - Member of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Quynh Luu District People's Committee, representatives of departments, branches and 181 party members representing more than 300 party members in the entire Party Committee.

In the 2015 - 2020 term, the Party Committee of Quynh Hung Commune (Quynh Luu) led the people to complete and exceed the set targets and plans. The total production value in 2019 reached 534 billion VND, an increase of 149 billion VND compared to 2015.

Economic growth rate reached 8.26%. Economic structure shifted reasonably: agriculture 22.5%, industry - construction 49.9% (up 4.9%), services 27.6%. Average income per capita in 2020 is estimated at 55 million VND, an increase of 25.3 million VND compared to 2015.

In agricultural production, the locality focuses on directing and promoting the application of science and technology, transforming the structure of crops and seasons, and introducing high-yield rice varieties into production. In addition to developing livestock and poultry farming, people have also boldly converted ineffective production areas to aquaculture. Up to now, the whole commune has built 4 aquaculture models (commercial snakehead fish farming) with high value, with a fish output of 307 tons and shrimp of 54 tons.

In the field of small-scale industry, Quynh Hung commune has 2 developed carpentry villages, Thuan Giang and Nam Thang, attracting about 900 workers with an income of over 6 million VND/person/month. The mechanical industry has 16 groups of workers, 5 aluminum and glass production facilities with 80 workers, an income of over 8 million VND/person/month. The construction industry has 13 enterprises and 54 groups of workers, with over 900 workers.

Cultural, social and poverty reduction work has been paid attention to and effectively implemented by the locality. The poverty rate has decreased from 2% (in 2015) to 0.6% (in 2020). Regarding the construction of New Rural Areas, after being recognized as meeting the standards (at the end of 2015), the locality continued to direct the people to improve the criteria, invest in the construction of 32 works worth over 60 billion VND, complete the road system, office premises, and school buildings.

Party development work was given attention. In 5 years, 31 outstanding people were sent to attend Party sympathy classes and 29 Party members were admitted, including 2 Party members from religious areas.

Promoting the spirit of solidarity, in the coming term, the Party Committee and people of Quynh Hung commune are determined to successfully implement the targets and resolutions set forth by the 31st Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. In particular, striving for a total production value of 852 - 869 billion VND; an average economic growth rate of 10 - 11%; average income per capita of 82 - 85 million VND; 88% of households meeting cultural standards; reducing the poverty rate to less than 0.2%; especially, the commune strives to achieve Advanced New Rural Area status by 2022...

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Le Xuan Kien - Standing Deputy Secretary of Quynh Luu District Party Committee requested Quynh Hung commune to continue promoting the spirit of high solidarity and unity within the Party Committee and the consensus of the people to successfully carry out the local political tasks. Focus on directing the overcoming of existing problems in the past term, especially in land management, issuance and exchange of land certificates, and environmental pollution in craft villages.

Actively renovate the agricultural structure, apply scientific and technological advances to production. Focus on rapidly developing and diversifying service and trade sectors. Combine new rural construction to gradually build a model new rural area, contributing to improving the quality of life for the people...

In the spirit of democratic centralism, the Congress elected the 31st Party Executive Committee of the commune for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 13 comrades. Comrade Tran Van Khoa was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Quynh Hung Commune Party Committee for the new term.

The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the 28th Quynh Luu District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.
