Congress of Delegates of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An Province, term 2024-2029 and receiving the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister
With the motto "All activities are directed towards martyrs' relatives", on the morning of November 21, the Association for Supporting Martyrs' Families of Nghe An province held its 3rd Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs; Nguyen Huu Oanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Association.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ho Duc Thanh - Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; agencies, units and enterprises inside and outside the province.

Through the long and arduous resistance wars, Nghe An has had tens of thousands of heroic and outstanding children who sacrificed their lives. The whole province has 45,000 martyrs, 46,000 wounded and sick soldiers, and 2,835 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (currently 33 mothers are still alive). The war has ended, but the consequences for the families of the martyrs are still lingering and severe. Among the 45,000 martyrs, there are still nearly 20,000 martyrs whose identities have not been determined or who do not have enough information.
During the past term, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has focused on strengthening both its organization and apparatus, ensuring sufficient quantity and strong quality. All activities have been carried out in accordance with its principles and purposes and have done many meaningful things. Notably, the work of calling on and mobilizing businesses to support more resources to support relatives of martyrs. Accordingly, during the term, the association has supported the construction of gratitude houses, given savings books, given gifts to beneficiaries and upgraded martyr cemeteries with a total amount of more than 22.7 billion VND.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu sent his regards and gratitude to the families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families of war invalids and martyrs.
He acknowledged and commended the achievements and contributions of the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in the past term, and requested the association to continue to propagate the Party and State's policies towards war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services. Strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to identify the identities of martyrs with incomplete information. Continue to search for martyrs' remains and bring them back to their hometowns for burial. Regularly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of people with meritorious services, make recommendations to competent agencies to promptly resolve related issues, ensuring the rights of people with meritorious services...








At the congress, organizations and individuals also presented plaques to support the construction of gratitude houses for 13 families of martyrs with a total cost of 680 million VND.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee for the 2024-2029 term, consisting of 39 comrades.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 1 individual for the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province with many outstanding achievements in the term 2019-2024;
The Central Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of the province presented gifts to 20 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and exemplary relatives of martyrs.
The Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to the Association and 1 individual with many outstanding achievements in the 2019-2024 term.
The Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs awarded Certificates of Merit and honors to groups and individuals; and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers and relatives of martyrs.
