Excellent completion of military and defense missions

In 2024, the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 4 closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to focus on leading and directing the comprehensive completion of military and defense tasks, many of which were excellently completed.

Notably, it has thoroughly grasped and seriously and effectively implemented resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense on military and defense tasks.

Maintain order and combat readiness; promptly adjust and supplement the system of combat documents associated with military posture planning in the defense area.

Actively coordinate with the Police and Border Guard forces to maintain political security, social order and safety, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development. Lead and direct the successful completion of drills during the term.

The Party Committee of Military Region 4 has directed the forces to actively participate in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; effectively deploying solutions to build a politically strong military region armed force, build a comprehensively strong, "exemplary, typical" unit; and successfully organize the Emulation Congress to Win the Military Region Armed Forces for the period 2019-2024.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized that in recent times, the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command have led and directed the implementation of military and defense tasks well. There is a close and close relationship between the Military Region Command and the Party Committee and government of Nghe An province.

In particular, the Military Region Command has regularly paid attention to and supported localities, including Nghe An province, to maintain stability in the area for socio-economic development and to strengthen national defense and security. Regarding the implementation of military and defense tasks, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghe An province have led and directed the successful completion of tasks, many tasks have been completed excellently, and have been highly appreciated by the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region.

In particular, in 2024, the Party Committee, Government and People of the province were delighted when the Provincial Police and the Provincial Armed Forces were awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces in the renovation period by the Party and State.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized and clarified the outstanding results of Nghe An province in performing military and defense tasks; at the same time, expressed his high agreement with the goals, targets and 13 solutions in 3 groups of tasks that the Standing Committee of the Military Region Party Committee identified in the direction and tasks for 2025.

The Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee affirmed that in 2025, the province will focus on implementing key tasks: Timely implementing solutions to accelerate, make breakthroughs, and strive to achieve the highest goals and targets of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; Preparing to organize Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Party; Revolution in arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus under the direction of the Central Committee.

To complete the set goals and key tasks, in addition to the efforts of the entire political system, people and businesses, Nghe An province hopes to receive attention and help from the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 4 and other localities in the coming time.

Speaking at the Conference, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of leadership and direction in implementing military and defense tasks of the Party Committee - Command of Military Region 4 in 2024.

The Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army also respectfully thanked the Party committees, authorities and people of the 6 provinces in Military Region 4 for their trust, protection, help and creation of favorable conditions for the armed forces of the Military Region to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet affirmed that 2025 is a very important year, a year of acceleration and breakthrough. Therefore, he requested the Party Committee of Military Region 4 to continue to thoroughly grasp and resolutely and effectively implement resolutions, strategies, projects, laws on military and national defense, the Law on Civil Defense, Resolution of the 8th Central Committee, Session XIII, on the Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation; determine leadership policies and measures that are close to the characteristics of the military region's tasks and the practical situation of the provinces and cities in the area.

The Party Committee of Military Region 4 needs to continue to lead, strictly maintain combat readiness, perform well the state management function on national defense, build national defense posture, defense works; proactively coordinate closely with the police, border guards and units stationed in the area to grasp the situation; prepare well plans, forces, means, and promptly handle situations.

The Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army also requested the Party Committee of Military Region 4 to regularly coordinate closely with local Party committees and authorities to build a solid defense zone. Proactively advise and propose to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to effectively implement defense diplomacy; strengthen the friendly and solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border.

At the same time, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 needs to further strengthen political and ideological work, do a good job of educating and propagating to cadres and soldiers, first of all, the cadres in charge at all levels, to fully and deeply understand the task of building and protecting the Fatherland, and strengthening national defense in the new situation.
