(Baonghean.vn) - The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province requested the Yen Thanh District Party Committee to strictly discipline the heads of the Party Committee and government for being lax in leadership and direction of quarantine management work.
On the evening of August 13, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Director of Nghe An Department of Health held an urgent meeting with Yen Thanh district after a case of community Covid-19 infection appeared in the commune.
Attending the meeting were leaders of the District Party Committee, Yen Thanh District People's Committee; Nghe An Department of Health; Provincial Center for Disease Control and members of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Yen Thanh District.

Epidemiological investigation showed that: On July 8, the patient returned from China by ship to Ho Chi Minh City on July 12. From July 18 to August 3, the patient was quarantined at the Student Dormitory of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education with three negative test results.
On August 3, patient PVH traveled from Ho Chi Minh City toNghe An, there were 23 people on the bus. On August 4, the patient arrived at Ben Thuy checkpoint to complete the medical declaration procedure and was taken by the provincial vehicle to Phan Dang Luu Secondary School, then rode his motorbike to the medical station to make a medical declaration and then quarantined at home.
From August 4 to August 9, the patient stayed at home and did not come into contact with anyone. On August 10, the patient took his mother to the commune People's Committee. On August 11, the patient had lunch and dinner with his mother, wife, children, and sister-in-law. On August 11, the patient went to repair a car with his wife in Dien Nguyen commune, Dien Chau district. On August 12, the patient was tested for PCR and the result was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

After listening to the report and related comments, the Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control stated: The emergence of community cases is causing the risk of a widespread Covid-19 outbreak.
Yen Thanh district needs to urgently investigate and trace F1 cases and related people; clarify time gaps in the patient's schedule; proactively and resolutely deploy synchronous epidemic prevention measures; immediately take samples for testing of related cases; disinfect and sterilize places the patient has been to.
Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh suggested that Yen Thanh District Party Committee should strictly discipline the head of the Party Committee and the government of Nhan Thanh commune for being lax in leadership and direction of home quarantine management in particular and epidemic prevention and control in general.
