Proposal for sidewalk parking in Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) - Vinh City People's Committee proposed that the Provincial People's Committee allow the organization to draw lines (with yellow thermoplastic paint) on the sidewalks of roads with large sidewalk widths to allow parking of 2- and 3-wheeled vehicles and cars on part of the sidewalk.

Official dispatch No. 7339/UBND-QLDT (Regarding proposed traffic organization plans; drawing on roads and sidewalks to allow parking; handling "black spots" of traffic safety in Vinh city) of Vinh City People's Committee submitted to the Provincial People's Committee proposed plans to implement the above policy.
Specifically, the sidewalks of the following streets: Nguyen Trai, Mai Hac De, Le Loi, Quang Trung, Tran Phu, Le Duan, Nguyen Du, Ly Thuong Kiet, Cao Thang, Lenin, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, Nguyen Sy Sach, Phan Boi Chau, Truong Chinh, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Hong Phong, Phan Dang Luu, Ha Huy Tap, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai... are included in the proposal.
In particular, Vinh City People's Committee proposed a plan not to mark the sidewalk for motorbikes and bicycles on political streets such as Truong Thi, Lenin, Le Mao... and streets with sidewalk widths less than 3m.

For routes and sections with sidewalk widths of less than 3m, depending on each specific case, Vinh City People's Committee will decide on the paint marking plan but must still ensure that the sidewalk for pedestrians is at least 2m wide.
Currently, the Provincial People's Committee is assigning the Department of Transport to study and advise the Provincial People's Committee on the above proposal of Vinh City People's Committee.
