Dien Chau: Giving 40 gifts to poor and studious orphaned children

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 9, in Dien Hoang and Dien Truong communes, the Dien Chau District Association for the Promotion of Education presented gifts from the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education to poor students and studious orphans in the two communes.

There are 40 gifts worth 14 million VND for 2 levels of education in 2 communes, including 10 gifts for Primary School, each worth 300 thousand VND and 10 gifts for Secondary School, each worth 400 thousand VND.

The students who received gifts this time are mostly poor students and orphans but have made great efforts to achieve high academic results.

Attending and presenting gifts to the students, representatives of the Dien Chau District Association for the Promotion of Education and the Board of Directors of the schools acknowledged the efforts of the students in overcoming especially difficult circumstances, excelling in life and study; at the same time, they hoped that the students would continue to strive to go to school and study well.

Representatives of the District Association for Promotion of Education and the Board of Directors of Dien Hoang Secondary School presented gifts to the students.

Dien Truong and Dien Hoang are two schools in the coastal area of ​​Dien Chau district with good achievements in education and training. However, the number of poor and orphaned students is still high, with an average of 30-40 children per school.

Thus, with 103 gifts previously given to poor students in 5 communes including Dien Thang, Dien Minh, Dien Tan, Dien Hanh and Dien Tho, the total number of gifts given by Dien Chau Education Promotion Association to poor students up to this point is 143 gifts with the amount of 50 million VND./.
