Thai Son - Do Luong is a purely agricultural commune, people basically only cultivate rice, grow fruit trees in their gardens and raise livestock and poultry. Agricultural products are basically only sold within the district.
In 2018, Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong - born in 1991, a native of Thai Son commune, realized that her hometown had fertile fields and delicious rice, so she thought of creating products from rice. Based on that idea, she returned to her hometown and opened a workshop to produce dew-dried rice paper right at her family's house in Hamlet 1.

Do Luong is a locality with many famous agricultural products such as rice paper, peanut candy, Thong Nhat green tea... In addition to Vinh Duc rice paper and peanut candy craft village, Do Luong district also has the Luong Son rice paper brand in Nhan Son commune. After 2 years of opening the factory, this facility has now opened another factory in Binh Duong. Each factory has an area of over 3,000 m2, creating jobs for more than 30 local workers, with a maximum capacity of about 20,000 cakes per day. “The quality of our cakes is very consistent, maintaining the traditional flavor. The product has been voted as a typical rural agricultural product at the district level in 2020 and received a 3-star OCOP product at the provincial level. To create clean products, we focus on the selection of raw materials and the production process. Raw materials must have a clear origin from Do Luong land. Workers are all equipped with knowledge of food hygiene and safety.”
In order to create products that meet OCOP standards, from the beginning of 2019, the People's Committee of Do Luong district issued a synchronous implementation plan to communes and towns. At the same time, it directed the building of brands for key agricultural products to increase value and promote consumption of agricultural products for people. The district has organized training and knowledge training for managers, operators, and training for units, cooperatives, and production households.
