Nghe An province delegation visits daughter of revolutionary Nguyen Thi Minh Khai

On September 20, a working delegation of Nghe An province led by Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and presented gifts to Ms. Le Nguyen Hong Minh - daughter of Mr. Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, currently living in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Accompanying the delegation were comrades: Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports. Revolutionary Nguyen Thi Minh KhaiHer birth name is Nguyen Thi Vinh, born on September 30, 1910 in Vinh Yen commune, Vinh city, Nghe An. She was one of the leaders of the Indochinese Communist Party during the period 1930 - 1940. In 1919, she began to learn the national language and then entered Cao Xuan Duc Primary School in Vinh.

In 1930, she joined the Indochinese Communist Party, in charge of propaganda and training party members at Truong Thi, Ben Thuy. After that, she went to Hong Kong to work as a secretary for leader Nguyen Ai Quoc at the Eastern Branch Office of the Communist International...
In 1936, she was sent back to the country to convey the instructions of the Communist International and was appointed to the Southern Regional Party Committee, holding the position of Secretary of the Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee, becoming one of the leaders of the 1936 - 1939 revolutionary movement in Saigon. On July 30, 1940, she was arrested right after the meeting of the Southern Regional Party Committee to disseminate the uprising policy and was imprisoned at the Saigon Central Prison and executed a year later.

Her daughter, Le Nguyen Hong Minh, was born in 1939, gathered in the North in 1954, was sent to China to study, and then to the Soviet Union to study mechanical engineering at university. After graduating and returning to Vietnam, she did research on the Communist Party of Vietnam. From 1976, she worked at the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and retired in 1995.
