Delegation of National Assembly deputies gives Tet gifts to support poor households in mountainous areas
(Baonghean.vn) - The National Assembly delegation presented 80 gifts to support poor households and households with special difficulties in 4 mountainous districts: Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, and Nghia Dan.

On January 21, Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education led the delegation to visit and present Tet gifts to support a number of poor households in the districts of Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, and Nghia Dan. In Que Phong, the delegation visited and presented 20 gifts to 20 poor households living in the villages of Na Phay, Na Cong and Na Toc of Muong Noc commune. This is the central commune of Que Phong district, but with the terrain being mainly hills, steep land and being divided by a dense network of rivers and streams, the lives of the people in the commune still face many difficulties. The poverty rate is over 22%. The average income per capita reaches nearly 35.5 million/person/year.

In Chau Hanh commune (Quy Chau district), the working delegation visited and presented gifts to 20 poor households in the commune in the villages of Ke Bang, Hanh Tien and Minh Tien. With a poverty rate of over 46.94%, Chau Hanh commune is one of the most disadvantaged localities in Quy Chau district. The commune has more than 8,000 people, all of whom are Thai ethnic people.

Through the Tet gift giving activity, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education sent New Year greetings to people in the communes.
At the same time, he affirmed that the Party, State and National Assembly have had many policies and programs to revive the country's economy after the Covid-19 pandemic, especially policies to support people in mountainous areas. This will be the driving force and resource for people in mountainous areas to overcome difficulties and gradually stabilize the lives of people in mountainous, remote and isolated areas.
