Innovate and develop trade union organizations for the rights and interests of workers.

On the morning of July 23, Nghe An Trade Union organized a celebration of the 90th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2019), the 90th anniversary of the founding of Nghe An Trade Union (November 1929 - November 2019).

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc.

Important contribution to the cause of national construction and defense

At the rally, delegates reviewed the glorious revolutionary tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union. Over 90 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam Trade Union has always operated in accordance with its principles and objectives and promoted the role of a large political and social organization of the Vietnamese working class, making important contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.

Along with the development of the Vietnam Trade Union, in recent years, Nghe An Trade Union has operated according to the motto of focusing on the grassroots, organizing and performing the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers. The organization has always been at the forefront of patriotic emulation movements, actively contributing to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals. In addition, the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers has always been of interest to all levels of trade unions.

From practical activities, to meet the requirements of union members, employees and the development of the organization, the key tasks in each stage are determined more specifically and realistically. All levels of the union focus on monitoring and inspecting the implementation of regimes and policies, resolutely protecting the rights of employees when they are violated; organizing dialogues to resolve disputes between employers and employees; focusing on supporting negotiations and resolving strikes to ensure the rights of both parties. Many practical and effective activities are organized such as: Workers' Month, Tet reunion; signing welfare programs; building "Union shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances.

Continue to be an organization to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers and laborers.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Provincial Party Secretary praised the achievements and great contributions of the workers' movement, as well as the activities of Nghe An Trade Union over the past 90 years.

Faced with new opportunities and challenges, in order for workers, civil servants, laborers and all levels of Nghe An Trade Union to be worthy of being the core force leading the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the working class and the provincial trade union organization will focus on promoting propaganda and education work, raising political awareness, law compliance and industrial style for workers.

He requested: "Emulation movements need to be organized and widely deployed to all levels and sectors, from the province to the grassroots; at the same time, they must ensure practicality, effectiveness, spread, sustainability and creativity."

He said that in order to operate well, trade unions need to increase meetings and dialogues with workers; promptly support workers in resolving difficulties and problems arising in the relationship between business owners and workers; and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

In addition, it is necessary to continue to build an increasingly strong trade union organization. Focus on developing trade union organizations and union members. Strengthen the work of developing the Party among workers; train cadres who have matured from excellent workers, to create a source for the Party, government and political organizations.

On this occasion, to recognize the contributions of generations of Nghe An Provincial Trade Union officials over the past 90 years; the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province presented the working class and the provincial trade union organization with a banner bearing the words "Nghe An Provincial Trade Union Organization promotes 90-year tradition - Innovation and development for the rights and interests of workers".

At the ceremony, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Medals to 15 individuals and honored 16 business directors for workers.

The Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes to the winning collectives of the Vietnam Trade Union and Nghe An Trade Union Competition; awarded 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 4 Encouragement Prizes to articles on Nghe An Trade Union activities.
