Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son offered incense at Truong Bon National Historical Site
(Baonghean.vn) - After offering flowers and incense at Truong Bon National Historical Site, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son and members of the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Martyrs Cemetery of Do Luong district and visited and presented gifts to two families of policy beneficiaries and outstanding meritorious people in Do Luong district.
On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2020), on the morning of July 17, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led by Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council came to offer flowers and incense at Truong Bon National Historical Site, Do Luong District Martyrs Cemetery and visited and presented gifts to 2 policy families and exemplary meritorious people in Do Luong district.

At Truong Bon National Historical Site (My Son Commune, Do Luong District), in front of the common grave of 13 martyrs of the Steel Squad, Company 317 - N65 - Nghe An Youth Volunteers General Team who sacrificed their lives while on duty in the early morning of October 31, 1968, the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to pay their respects and express their deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs.

Here, the delegation also offered flowers and incense at the Martyrs' Temple. During the resistance war against the US to save the country, 1,240 officers and soldiers heroically sacrificed their lives at the "fire coordinates" of Truong Bon.

Next, the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Do Luong District Martyrs' Cemetery (the resting place of 10,804 martyrs, including Vietnamese experts and volunteer soldiers who heroically sacrificed their lives in the long-term resistance war against foreign invaders to protect the Fatherland and carry out international missions in Laos).

Moved and impressed by the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs - the steadfast and indomitable sons who did not spare their blood and bones, dedicating their noble youth to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, the delegation promised to always uphold the spirit of solidarity; actively study and work; strive to excellently fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, contributing to the development of the homeland.
On the same morning, in Do Luong district, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Ms. Hoang Thi Huong (martyr's wife) in hamlet 8, Lac Son commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Chu (21% disabled war veteran) in Thuan Dong hamlet, Thuan Son commune.

At the families he visited, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son expressed his deep gratitude for the great dedication and sacrifice of the families in the struggle for independence and freedom for the nation. Kindly inquiring about the health and living conditions of the martyrs' relatives, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished them to take care of their health, continue to set good examples and be a strong spiritual support for their children and grandchildren. He also reminded the local Party Committee, government and people to continue to do a good job of repaying gratitude, paying attention and taking care of the lives of families with meritorious services to the revolution.
