Successfully energized 110kV transformer station at WHA Nghe An Industrial Park

WHA Industrial Park, built in Nghi Long Commune (Nghi Loc District), is one of the key projects with international standard infrastructure in the North Central region of Vietnam, connecting production, manufacturing and distribution centers to serve domestic and international markets.

Located in the Southeast Economic Zone, WHA Industrial Park - Nghe An Phase 1 is invested with 100 million USD, covering an area of ​​498 hectares with an international standard infrastructure system to meet the needs of industrial investors along with residential and commercial projects.

The project "110kV transmission line and transformer station WHA Industrial Park" is built within the premises of WHA Industrial Park and is connected to the single-circuit line 178E15.1 Hung Dong to 171E15.13 Dien Chau with a length of 0.05 km. The transformer station is designed with a scale of 03 63MVA transformers. In phase 1, 01 115/38.5/23kV - 63MVA transformer, 02 line breaker compartments, 02 DCL installation compartments, and an operating station with 2 voltage levels of 110kV and 22kV will be installed. On the 22kV medium voltage side, in phase 1, 7 indoor combined feeder compartments will be installed.

The station is built according to the criteria of a remote control substation; Building an information system, SCADA connected to the PC Nghe An Remote Control Center, A1 and NPC Data Center.

The project started in mid-November 2021, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, construction encountered many difficulties. However, with the coordination of the Northern Power Construction Project Management Board, Nghe An Power Company, and contractors, the construction time was strictly controlled to complete the project on schedule.

The completion of the 110kV WHA Industrial Park transformer station will supply electricity to the loads in the WHA Industrial Park, strengthen the grid connection, improve the stability and reliability of power supply. Thereby affirming the role of the electricity industry in investment attraction projects of Nghe An province in 2022 and the period 2021-2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa affirmed that in recent times, the coordination between Nghe An province and Vietnam Electricity Group in general and the Northern Power Corporation in particular has made many important steps forward. That coordination has gradually improved the infrastructure of industrial parks, raised the investment environment in Nghe An province to attract businesses to choose Nghe An as an investment destination. At the same time, bringing business activities into efficiency.
